Norm is from from Augusta, Maine, U.S.A. and currently lives just outside of Basel. Prior to founding our companies in Zug & Basel, Norm had worked 25 years internationally as a Tax Advisor as well as a US GAAP, Swiss GAAP and IFRS Auditor with (PwC) PricewaterhouseCoopers. Preceding those engagements he also ran a local tax reporting office & worked in Multi-National Corporations as a Finance Manager and Director. Norbert is licensed to practice before the IRS with unlimited practice rights (see IRS RPO Directory). He is also both a Licensed US CPA with the State of Maine as well as an Enrolled Agent with the US Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service. Norm who’s parents were immigrants is also fluent in both English and German. In addition to this, Norm also qualified with the Swiss Association of Certified Public Accountants (ExpertSuisse).

(Kov) KOVALDAS BALCIAUSKAS, MSc / CAA
SENIOR TAX PROFESSIONAL / DIRECTOR OF ZUG OPERATIONS
Kov is from Chicago, Illinois U.S.A. and currently lives just outside of Zug. As a tax advisor with over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and hedge fund management, Kov brings a wealth of expertise to his clients. Since joining our companies Kov has brought his extensive experience in navigating tax laws and regulations into the field of individual taxation and resolving individual tax disputes. Kov has a BSc from DePaul University in Chicago and an MSc from the University of Newcastle in the UK. Kov is also an IRS Certified Acceptance Agent. Whether it’s minimizing tax liabilities, maximizing deductions, or ensuring compliance with tax laws, He is equipped to provide tailored tax advice and solutions to meet his clients’ needs.

(Chris) CHRISTOPH L. BORER
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Chris is from Breitenbach, Switzerland and brings in over 25 years of experience working nationally as both a Finance Director and Tax Consultant. Chris completed his education with a Swiss Business Degree and is fluent in German and English. Chris has since gathered numerous years of experience in financially advising and guiding both Swiss Industrial Business’ and Swiss State run entities. Chris deals regularly with Swiss GAAP FER, HRM II as well as the Swiss Code of Obligations and how it pertains to Swiss Statutory and Swiss Tax provisions. In addition to this, he also advises private clients on Swiss taxation laws.

Alexandra is from Arlesheim, Switzerland and enriches our office with her big smile and over 15 years of working experience as an accountant. She completed her education with a Swiss Business Degree and is fluent in German, Italian and English. Alexandra has experience with national entities and as an independent accountant as well as an accounting specialist. Her current focus is to support our SME businesses as well as helping clients with their personnel individual Swiss taxation issues.
